Dinosaur Museum

Charlotte did some excavating. Her favorite part was giving me the sand.

Mia did a little light reading on the Woolly Mammoth.

You'd think a 2 year old would be scared of the giant prehistoric shark with rows of razor-sharp teeth...Nope.

Prehistoric fish. We watched them feed these fish one time. They feed them live goldfish. I think Hannah was traumatized...I know I was.

We had a rip-raaaaaaawwwwwwrrrrrring time.

Harvest Festival

Have you ever been to a giant pumpkin contest? Neither had I until we spent a couple of hours at the Thanksgiving Point Harvest Festival. I highly recommend this annual event - it's free, they have crafts for the kids, a bounce house, entertainment, bronze animal statues, this awsesome water-spraying metal contraption, the Art Institute, and the most gigantic, cool pumpkins you've ever seen. Not to mention the ever-fun Emporium shops and delicious deli and ice cream shop. I should really do an ad campaign for Thanksgiving Point. Seriously, the place rocks.

The "awesome water-spraying metal contraption".

A Christmas tree made of glass art pieces blown at the Art Institute. Beautiful!

Head Shots

I had these taken a couple of weeks ago for auditions, etc. My friend, Jill Tew, is the photographer. She did a beautiful job! Check out her work at www.daytewdayphotography.blogspot.com.

Sisters

In the cookies of life, sisters are the chocolate chips. ~Author Unknown
In this picture, Hannah is giving Mia a horsey ride to cheer her up after she had been crying.

Sisters are different flowers from the same garden. ~Author Unknown

Oh, sisters. You know, having grown up an only child I don't think anything could have prepared me for everything involved in raising siblings. Wow - the fighting, the screaming, the drama, coupled with the beautiful moments of pure sisterly love and affection - what a roller coaster! All I can say is I'm so happy my girls have each other. Here's hoping they make it through these growing up years in one piece! Some days we're as likely to see them playing side by side as we are to see them with the other in a headlock. Oh, the intensity of sisterly relationships! I hope they will grow up to be each others' best friends.
